Miss Melissa

Melissa Medina joined Rooted in Wellness last year as our Parent Educational Coach, specializing in assisting parents through the IEP (Individualized Education Plan) process.

Melissa has been a parent mentor in the field of special education for The Autism Community in Action for over a decade. She trained under renowned Special Education Attorney Peter Wright and is an active member of COPAA (Council of Parent Advocates & Attorneys).

Melissa’s most valued advocacy experience comes from being a mother to a special needs child and knowing just how overwhelming the special education process can be. Her goal is to provide parents with the knowledge and confidence they need to successfully advocate for their child’s education.
